Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tribu ("the Service"), operated by Tribu ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using Tribu on behalf of an organization, you agree on that organization's behalf.
1. The Service
Tribu is a team wellness platform that integrates with Slack to deliver pulse check-ins and surface aggregated insights across five dimensions: burnout, psychological safety, goals clarity, productivity, and work-life balance. We are currently in an early access program.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to use Tribu on behalf of your organization. The Service is intended for professional, workplace use only.
3. Accounts and Workspaces
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- One workspace admin is responsible for the Tribu account on behalf of their organization.
- You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized access at legal@tribu.management.
- We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Tribu to surveil, discipline, or disadvantage individual employees based on their pulse responses.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer individual responses from aggregated data.
- Share access credentials with unauthorized parties.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable labor laws.
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, or overload the Service infrastructure.
- Scrape or extract data from the Service in bulk without written permission.
Important: Tribu is designed to protect employee anonymity. Attempting to identify individual responses — technically or otherwise — is a material violation of these Terms and may violate applicable employment law.
5. Pricing and Payment
During the early access program, pricing is as agreed at signup. Once the Service is generally available, paid plans are:
- Individual: Free
- Team: $8/user/month (or $6.40 billed annually)
- Company: $14/user/month (or $11.20 billed annually)
We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price changes take effect for existing subscribers. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Data Ownership
Your organization retains ownership of all data you input into Tribu. We process it to deliver the Service. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling, anonymization, and retention.
7. Intellectual Property
All product code, design, algorithms, and content produced by Tribu remain our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them. Your organization's data and content remain yours.
8. Integrations
Tribu integrates with third-party services (Slack, Google Calendar, HRIS systems, etc.). Your use of those integrations is also governed by those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or data handling.
9. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with advance notice when possible.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tribu shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that insights derived from it are suitable for standalone employment decisions.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time with 30 days' written notice. We may terminate immediately for material breach of these Terms. Upon termination, you may request a data export within 30 days; after that, your data will be deleted.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify workspace admins at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Mexico, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
